VPN Client Configuration on Mac OS 10.x

Note: The Cisco VPN client must already be installed before configuring the VPN client. See Downloads - Cisco VPN Client to download the client.

Start the NIUnet VPN Mac Client

  1. Click on the VPNClient icon in your Dock, or go to the Applications folder and double-click the VPNClient icon there.

  2. Confirm correct information is in the "Connection Entry" field and connect.
  3. Click Connect

Log in to the client

  1. In the "Username" field enter your Z-ID/AccountID. Example: z915856
  2. In the "Password" field enter your Novell password. If you have trouble logging in, call the ITS Helpdesk at 815-753-8100.
  3. Click Ok

  4. Continue past the welcome screen
  5. Click Continue

Disconnect the VPN client from NIUnet.

Click on Disconnect in the tool menu.
