The residence hall network uses Cisco's Network Access Client (NAC) to ensure that computers connecting to the network are secure and up-to-date. Anyone using the residence hall wireless network must download and install NAC the first time they get online. NAC will verify that proper anti-virus software and all critical Windows updates are installed. See housing.niu.edu/housing/restech/helpdesk/nac.shtml for details.
If you live in the residence halls and need help getting online in the residence halls, call the ResTech Helpdesk at 815-753-6267.
